Film & TV Language: Sound video feedback and learner response
1- WWW - excellent post production, use of my own footage and found footage, good editing, good cinematography.
EBI - Too many clips from the same sequence, add different clips or in a different order which isn't seen as repeating.
2- WWW - Excellent video, Really Good, Interesting, use of editing, use of footage
EBI - The Contrapuntal element was hard to notice.
3- WWW - What went well for me was the editing and filming of clips was extremely successful overall such as using shakes and other effects along with the smooth ending of my video with the car light flashing. Additionally, the idea I had flowed throughout my video creating a suspense and tensed cinematography to confused yet build fear in my audience of what is about to happen next. Moreover, the use of props, such as sunglasses, car keys and cars matched my found footage, improving on the narrative.
EBI - I could of come up with a different idea or improve on my idea to make the contrapuntal element stand out more, additionally, mixing up my clips or using different clips to add variety to my video.
4- My top three were My own, Kaye+Sanjivani and Dhurata. With Kaye+Sanjivani I loved the childish element of progressing from children to teenagers, paired with the successful use of parallel and contrapuntal sound matched the audio extremely well! Additionally, Dhurata's video the contrapuntal and parallel element was vividly seen. To improve on mine I could of made my contrapuntal element stand out more like the top 3 I listed.
5 - The use of sound can really change the idea of how the audience can view a scene, for example instead of suspense music over a murder scene to tense up our audience, say classical music was used with can create connotations of confusion, mental and crazy to made the audience think that the murder was for fun. This this improves on my understanding on how important sound is in film and TV.
